5foot 10inch headroom what mill will fit

Hi all I would like a new vertical mill, but I only have a low ceiling of

5"10' over most of the workshop.What mills could I get to work with this headroom. I currently have a mini mill which is just too small for the stuff I want to machine. I would prefer to go secondhand than new mill/drill. thanks for any ideals.

Mike, a VMC (6"x26") Miill measures up at 67" overall, but you need to allow another 4.5" to open the belt guard for speed changes. Alternatively you could run with the belt guard off but this would mean bypassing the safety cut-out switch.

You would also have to tilt the head to get the drawbar out, but with an R8 spindle you shouldn't need to remove it except for replacement.

I might know where there is one for sale in about a months time
