B&Q have a unit consisting of a disk sander together with a linisher-type belt, for about £67.
Anybody used one of these for metal working?

Very useful. They need a bit of setting up to get the guides set close enough to the belt and at 90 degrees, but otherwise, not bad. Excellent for the price.
