Machinery for disposal

Had the following email in this morning:-

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I have read with great interest your articles on the rebuild work you have carried out on the ward lathes. The company I work for is about to dispose of some old machines for scrap value and I thought you may be interested as they would make great re-furb projects

We are looking to dispose of the following machines

2 off - Ward 7D 1 off - Fendo Bandsaw 1 off - OMZ CNC drill 1 off - Suga peg board NC lathe

The machines would need to moved within the 2/3 weeks (they currently are on site in Uppingham, Rutland) Let me know wether you are interested in any before they end up in the large scrap pile in the sky.

Regards

I asked Darren if it was OK to post his details and email address here, plus a guide on prices, his response was:-

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sounds like a reasonable plan, feel free to pass the e-mail address & company details around.

As for prices, i imagine that my director would take £600-£700 for the lot or possibly £100-£125 per Ward, £75-£100 for the bandsaw & £150-£175 for each of the NC/CNC machines. This is only a rough estimate although i think they could take less just to get rid of them.

However, anyone interested would have to arrange thier own carrage/transport, and reply reasonably quickly as i think they'll be scrapped in 3 weeks max.

Condition - all of the machines have been in a storage container for the last 2 years (apart from one ward which sat outside for this time) and they where partley dismantled (guards etc) with all the removed parts being stored in & on them in the container

I look forward to your reply - it seems a shame to see them dumped in a skip

If any one is interested please contact Darren directly.
