More OT: Silicon Bronze Woodscrews

I am currently in the process of giving my boat her hundred and first year refit and am on the lookout for around 200 to 300 silicon bronze 12 gauge woodscrews 2 inches long at an affordable price.

Searches I have made so far indicate prices around 80p to £1 each which is more than I want to pay unless I am forced to.

Marguerite is a small 21 foot sloop, designed and built by Wm. Fife of Fairley in 1905. Her topsides are planked in Kauri pine, pitchpine below the waterline, oak sawn frames and rock elm ribs. All as fresh as the day she was built. Some of her fastenings are however getting a little tired and need replacement. I am reluctant, indeed adamant that I must use bronze.

Sorry to bore you, I get carried away. Any information on sources of bronze woodscrew would be appreciated.

$40/100 from here, you'd have to ask them about shipping costs though and allow for VAT etc.

It might have been more useful if I'd remembered to put the link in :(

Thankyou for that Tim. I will give them a try. I just knew this group was the place to ask.

About six years ago I was walking along the Inverness end of the Caledonian canal, and came across what I took to be a derelict WWII MTB. It was riddled with stainless steel screws in perfect condition. Which leads me to ask "why silicon bronze and gun/admiralty metal?".
