Myford metric conversion quadrant question.

I have an S7 and would like to cut metric threads on occasion. I also have access to a far better shop than my own in which I can cut a few gears and do a bit of CNC work as training.

What I would like to know is if someone out there has a conversion kit, could they do the favor of putting a ruler and protractor to it to check a few dimensions?

Looking for:

-length of the main slot, and edge to edge distance from the slot to the

1 3/8" hole.

- angles of the arc in relation to the slot. As far as I can tell the arc starts at about 30 degrees from the slot, and ends at either 50 or

55 degrees.

Of course, if anyone were to have a dimensioned drawing at hand that they could email me or post to a website, I'd be very grateful too!

Trevor,

You do realise your posting on this newsgroup with an unprotected (from spam) email address? So doing such things as t dot o dot isn't really worth it.... :-)

Unfortunately he is right. Most SPAMBOTS harvest the "from" addresses and ignore the "reply to". Sadly, the header of Trevor's posting has only a "from" address and no "reply to". Perhaps that's yet another reason why accessing news from Google may not be the best thing to do.

Yes I do. Surprisingly enough, the levels of spam have never gotten out of hand with my old account, over a 5 year period that I had been posting to usenet newsgroups with it. With this account, the email addresses are pretty much disposable, and are not the same as my base account. I have also found that a few simple filters can help a lot in that respect as well.

Thanks for the pictures, Richard and Keith both! I am well equipped to begin flogging my way through the geometry creation process and move slowly towards a few more toys in the shop. I appreciate the time you guys took for me.
