Replacement Tungsten Carbide cutting tips cpde CCMT XX YY ZZ

Dec 29, 2004 1 Replies

Someone was asking recently about the codes.

My "Dead Sea Scroll" on the matter has just surfaced.

CCMT XX YY ZZ

XX = side of diamond

YY = Height of diamond

ZZ = Radius of cutting tip. (Cutting depth must be at least this radius, or the tip will break or wear rapidly, YMMV)

So, for a Chronos CCMT120308,

Side = 12 mm

Height = 3 mm

Radius of tip = 0.8mm (Watch out for included decimal point!)
