I have a lorch lathe that has a 3 phase motor on that I want to run o
an inverter. As the star point is in the motor does anyone know a goo source for cheap 3 phase motors that are star / delta wound with terminals.

Open up the motor and bring the three wires from the star point out to extra terminals. Works a treat, I done several over the years.

I was hoping that someone had a lead on fractional horse motors cheape
than RS etc as i would like to leave the original motor incase i sel it all later.

1/3hp motors are £53-£59 at machinemart. You pays your money ant takes your risk. May well be cheaper on Ebay.
