modal

Hi,
I'm working on a modal analysis of an assembly. When I make this
analysis on structure only I'm sure about results, but if I try to put
on datum point a center of mass, I'm not sure.
Is it a correct way to work? It is a correct idealizzation?
Althought, what is the right way to represent real mass on structure?
