National used to sample the 18200's and 18245's - 3 amp, 50 volt. The '245 has 4-bit programmable current limiting (L-R self-resonant) The '200 has a comparator so you can build your own limiting. Nice chips, if they're grunty enough for you.

For future googlers:
Hbridge IC Motor driver IC
National: (national.com)
18200's and 18245's - 3 amp, 50 volt. The '245 has 4-bit programmable current limiting (L-R self-resonant) The '200 has a comparator so you can build your own limiting.
Any other IC's you can list?
