El Mirage launch a Success!

Absolutely the best connectors for high current applications. Asexual, and keyed so you can mate 2 or more into a mongo keyed connector if needed. And if you think the ones you got can carry current, you should see the ones I pulled out of some computer UPS gear, with the wire as big around as my pinkie!

The Anderson connectors are sold in the RC shops under the Sermos name. And they are NOT suitiable for the guy looking for high current onboard ignition connectors, as they won't pull apart when yanked on.

But Doug is looking for a control cable that needs to run a long distance and not carry current. Phone jacks, RJ45, and things like that work OK in those applications.

I'm very familiar with Anderson Powerpoles. John Sermos showed them to me at the 1992 Toledo Show, and I've used a lot of them since. However, they are way too spendy for this product, even in quantity. For the cost of one set of Powerpoles, I can get plug, socket, clips and 9 feet of wire if I use standard 110v house-current fittings...and if you want a longer cable, get a 6 foot extension cord at the nearest Dollar Store. Hard to beat from a practical standpoint.
