See and Hear a Nitrous Hybrid up close and personal. On Board !

BoosterVision was proud to be able to demo SkyRipper System's new 38mm H150 Hybrid motor system last month at the MIS launch put on by JMRC and the Hybrid work of Scott Miller of SFSM Industries providing nitrous and GSE for all the JMRC launches.

We were more proud to be able to put one of our new prototype 2.4gig hi-power video systems on board to get all the action in living color and rip roaring sound ! You can see and hear the tank expel the air, fill and vent NOS, then fire with a ROAR while it climbs to altitude. Now, get to see and hear a Nitrous Hybrid up close and personal.

It's awesome !

Thanks Todd and Scott !

About almost 2200 feet on the H150. The camera system and 38mm Hybrid engine casing had the rocket wieghing in close to 3.85 pounds so that H150 really smoked ! PS, and yes, those do really have smoke. If you frame by frame, you can see some kewl stuff in the exhaust.

What kind of maximum range can you get on this video system? In other words, how high is "too high" to get decent reception of the image and sound?

As the Hi Power system is "custom" to each users needs , I'm not sure yet. So far i've used simple antennas, and I need to work with some directional units in the comming months. We have some ground tests comming this month as well and I'll let you know the results Ray.

Hi Tater,

The hi-power units do require the payload specialist to be an amateur radio operator. The owner of the rocket can have a licensed specialist on his launch team or be one himself.

Each custom hi-power unit "can" be custom for each need of the customer.

Please use the email on the webpage (I don't want spammers to pick it up here) and request info and I'll email you on your requirements you wish to accomplish for your desired deliverable.
