I'll bet! These days, if it's not plain old clothes and toiletries, I'd ship it via some other way to my destination. My last trip they were checking anything with batteries in it. All I had was a camcorder, digital camera, 2 PDAs, 3 FRS radios, GPS, CD player, and a MagLite.

What I really want to do is take something like the Datasonde you refer to, and put it in a suitcase with all the old used disposable diapers I can find for packing material. And let it ripen for a week before travel. Maybe they'll get the message of what I think of our new Fatherland Security Agency.

I assume the trampling of your rights by the process, not the actual act of flying. I agree 100% and go out of my way to avoid airports, and to not put up with violations of my rights when I don't have a choice.
