Nope, neighbor girls bofriend had one in the early 60's, 409 tripower. John
61 was the first year impalas had the 409 and yes even tri power could be added
oops 409 didnt have optional tri power but the 348 did, im sure you could get aftermarket tri power carbs and intake for the 409 though
or a 2 4 barrel setup like my neighbor.
where do you find a slant six volare? i had a rusty blue 78 i would love to model.
I think there's a 283 in the '57 Chevy BelAir kit, if you can find one. It sucks that we have to buy several kits to get what we're looking for in models. Just try buying a Mopar without a Hemi or 440! There are some but it takes some looking.

so i won't be building one. damn.
The engine can be found in the Lindberg kit of the '64 Dodge 330 sedan. The '78 Volare will be the harder part as they were last made in '78. The only body available was the coupe. The car was updated every year until 1980. It was marketed as the "Fuzz Duster". Sure wish RC/Ertl would find the moulds for that one!

Shawn, Anything externally on the engines would interchange as they were the same dimension. MG
