[Arm] Airfix 1/32 Crusader III

Do some current google searches on the kit. It was reissued last year and a few modelers have built it up real fine.

Osprey has a reasonable book on the Crusader, though it splits the book's text with the contemporary Covenanter (its disappointing competitor). There is also a Polish book with photo walkarounds of a preserved vehicle. Go to GreatModels.com and do a search for Crusader. Gerald Owens

$500 sounds a lot for the book, though it seems to be overpriced

Couple of years ago I went on a tear and tried to find all of the Airfix books. Offhand, I think I was successful in acquiring all of the basic kit based books air and armor, there are others regarding camo I think.

Some sellers seem right loony over what they expect for these books. $200 plus for different aircraft was not atypical. I even emailed one guy and pointed out that I was getting all of them for less than $20 USD each and that there were competing offerings on eBay and other internet book shops that were in that range. I even said that even though the particular book was not available this minute, that each book had come up very regularly and did he want to simply keep the book for his own use. Got a very snippy response.

So he probably still has it and I have all the ones I wanted, most in fairly mint condition for less than $20 USD each.

As in much of life patience is the key.

Yup, I won that yesterday. 15 GBP is sure a lot better than paying
