Czech Master Resin (CMR) in 1/144. Air Craft Models also did two excellent vac kits (both military and firebomber versions) in 1/144 but they're long OOP.

After (before??) my big trip to the UK, I'm going to stop in there and stare until I can't take any more. I may even start a fire, just to watch 'em take off. Joking. Also going to visit a few other places in BC as well. I hope. But not planning any time in the US at this stage.

I have some pics of my own and "Canadian Aviator" magazine had an excellent article (Vol 4 No 3, May/June 2004) www.canadianaviatormagazine..com.) Colour photos including interior shots. I could not get at back issues through the site and didn't have the time to pursue it, but I have the issue here.

All four Mars were put into civilian service in Canada as water bombers (terminology of the time). One was lost (with the crew) during a "bomb run". Another was destroyed by a storm while on shore. I assume that it has been used for spare parts since. The other two are still in service. These two have been serving for over 40 years and no sign of retirement :-)
