Has anyone out there tried building the 1/48 Airfix Buccaneer in flight with the wheel bays closed? I am in the process of trying this and if you thought the fit was bad when making this thing the way it was designed, wheels down airbrakes open, try it the way I am now - jeez! It was a small miracle that I got the airbrake together in the closed position and aligned correctly; its still not perfect, but it will work. Now I am putting the wheel bay doors on and what I thought would be quick and easy is turning into a major modification in and of itself. The door isn't the right size or shape and the curve is not the same as the rest of the fuselage section it is supposed to match up with. I thought I would check here before I go crazy and model the thing "in flight" right across the room into the #%$^@#! wall! Any suggestions?
