Currently building the DML M1A1 Sherman. Wanted to used the steel chevron tracks, but each one has some small plastic nubs on the outer surface. Yet, all of my photo references do not show these nubs.
Are these real, or do I have to scrape it off of each link?
They sound like the British T-62 tracks. The three rivets are normal.

Would they be accurate for an American Sherman with the steel chevron tracks? All of my references do not show any of these rivets on American tanks.

A better and more suitable track for the DML M4A1 Sherman -- you did not say which one! -- would be the T51 irreversible rubber block (smooth face) one for the early version (e.g. 75mm) or that track, the T48 rubber chevron (thick chevron), T-54E2 (steel chevron with gaps on the sides) or T49 (three bar steel cleat) track.
From the sounds of things you should have one of the earlier models with TWO sets of track pads in the box -- the British pattern chevrons you mentioned and one other (can't recall which one but it was a US type track). Ditch the British ones unless you want to do a Sherman II of some sort.

I was looking (for some reason) for the metal chevron US tracks. I have a set of tracks from Model Kasten, but they are pretty much impossible to make. The AFV club are the T-48 rubber chevron, and are no better than the ones in the kit, with a big sink mark.
