Italeri/Zvesda M3 Scout Car...

Are there any online reviews/previews of this kit? I am looking for sprue shots etc, and am interested in exactly what changes/deletions Zvesda made to this kit when they reboxed it. Any one know if they deleted sprues/parts when they added the Canvas cover in their latest release? Did they add any new parts, PE, etc to make this kit better?

Thanks in advance, JC Hayes

None that I know of. I had one of the original Peerless Max ones in 1974 and could swear it came with the canvas, as I gave a scratchbuilt one to a friend of mine and the one from the kit was a drop-fit on my conversion.

It may be a case of them just opening up a close gate on the original sprue.

Having both an old Perless kit and the Zvesda, there are a few changes. The original Perless kit did come with an optional canvas top but the one in the Zvesda kit is a different mold. Also some where along the line the way the wheels attach to the kit have changed. I'm not sure if this was done by Italeri, or Zvesda, as I don't have a copy of the Italeri version to compare it to. Otherwise all of the parts are exactly the same as the old Perless kit. Sorry no etched metal. That said, despite its age the kit is still not bad. It definitely can use the Eduard photo etch set though.
