lindberg set

just got the 1 p47b-he 111 lindberg set and it seems pretty cool. it even has glue and paint. but it has swastikas for the 111. did lindberg screw up?

No, your kit is showing its age. It was made before the political correctness disallowed the swastika. I think thazt it dates back to the mid-1960s.

doesn't seem likely. gotta love the ebayer i got it from. was cheap, but they wrapped it well, shipped it ftl, and even carefuly wrapped the glass to keep it from scratching. put them on my watch list.

I picked up that same set just a few years ago in a discount store.It had a 90s copywrite but included the swastikas. They might not be great models but cudos to Lindberg for being historically accurate in markings rather than PC. I'd like to see Lindberg rerelease some more of its old planes in the near future.

They reissued their 1/72 Betty with Hellcats as well in that series. The He-111 is 1/63, the B-17 is 1/64, the Ju-88 is 1/58 (3/16 scale?) I wanted to do all of the above because of the "lovely" retractable gear and other features but was put off because of the scale.
