OT: What WWII planes flew over the stadium at the Super Bowl?

I think one may have been a B-25, but they cut away too fast to see what the two fighters were....

They looked like T-6 Texans to me.

that is what I was guessing, but figured that they could have done a lot better than that. Should have brought the Confederate Air Force (they are called something else now, PC you know) but couple of trainers for the Super Bowl?

I agree, at first I thought they were P-47s, but on second very quick look, I suspect they were T-6's or SNJ's. The twin engine/twin tailed A/C was definitely a B-25.

They are now euphemistically called the "Commemorative Air Force", that is, until some non-PC political or ethnic group negatively usurps the name "Commemorative" and the CAF will have to find another name to satisfy the PC police. . .
