PL Klingon D7

So the new kit is finally selling. I keep reading that it builds into multiple (four?) versions. I only know of Klingon and Romulan versions. My question is, exactly what versions does it build into? Thanks.

Actually four different paint schemes, but the first option, "Ship A" is the unpainted version for a beginner. Option B is a light gray/dark gray Klingon version. Option C is a standard Romulan vessel and Option D is a Romulan Capital Ship (different paint scheme and wing decals).

There is a pair of optional parts that build the kit into the Klingon or Romulan D7. Basically either a wing grill or a solid piece to cover over the grill.

I did a quick reveiw of the D7 with sprue scans here:

Someone pointed out to me that when the forward boom is assembled, one of the attachment parts to the main hull is off. This will have to be built up with styrene strips and putty in order to have the forward boom set straight from the main body. Rob Gronovius Modern US armor at

IIRC there are versions for the TV show, as well as the filmation cartoon. There is also a shuttle bay!

Thanks. I think I'll buy three of them. Anyone seen them at Walmart or anyplace like that?

Good question. I bought my Enterprises at Target. Are the D-7s available there too?

Just got three off Ebay for $9.99 each. Good price. Now I'm impatient for them to get here.

Rob, checked out your sprue scans; very nice and good looking decals. Never heard of a "Romulan capital ship." Is that something from the animated series or something PL created?
