[Q] Flight display bases

I've just finshed Panda's 1/144 B-1 bomber, and was wondering what's suitable for use as an in-flight display. The usual wood base and metal rod looks quite ugly, and I'd love to hear suggestions.

I've used a bit of steel wire (coat hanger will do), bent into a diamond with a curved riser coming off the front point (bend it up in one piece, then silver solder the gap) then polished and laquered to display a Boomerang. Looks quite nice - elegant and subtle.

Howdy!

Then the "diamond" is the base. right?

Thanx, Ken

Yes, Ken. I'd draw a pic if I could, but....... Think of one of those old Airfix/Frog type stands, just made of wire.
