Roland:
The author of "The Last Enemy"? Somewhere I have seen a picture of a lineup of the squadron's Spitfires with one noted as being Hillary's bird. It wasn't a very good picture, taken from a distance and all. Might have been in that big book "Spitfire, the History" by Shacklady. If you are looking for the markings to make a model, what scale are you working in? Aero-Master sheet 48-078, (Battle of Britain Spitfires) has his bird in 1/48 scale.
