Was the Tamiya Apollo kit motorized ?

the ad for the 1/70 kit in the Squadron flyer states that they are offering the non motorized version.

If so, what did the motor do?

Yes.

It was attached to a plastic prop which and a string attached to the ceiling. When the pro ran the LCM circled like an old line control model airplane.

Pretty funky.
