Originally, we used to have icons that showed the pictures of whatever parts etc that were made...now, it is the old fashion generic icon for everything? Any idea of getting the images of the parts into the icons?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Both selections were already chosen...just to make certain, I actually unchecked it, closed solidworks...then I reopened it back up and rechecked both settings...it still doesn't work. Any other ideas?
This is running on windows XP 32 bit SP2 btw.
Thanks for your reply.
Both were already ticked. I unticked them restarted my computer, then reticked them, restarting the computer...figured that they needed to be reset in the registry...still doesn't work though.
Any other ideas?
Thanks again.
Do you use a PDM software? I recently saw this at a customer, who uses a cad data archive. The software did not automatically store the thumbnails. -> Guess it was a setting within the PDM software.
Does this prob only happen with the old database or also with newly generated parts which are saved to your hd? Same problem? You allready replaced the SW key in the registry -> no result ?
Sorry, no further ideas for the moment.
Good luck
Jojo
