Yippee, skippee - just got mine (Kansas City) and now installed. I'm ready to roll again. I had uninstalled my previous 2004 versions and cleaned out the registry awaiting the CD arrivals. At our last user group meeting a week ago, we had a demo of SW2004 - what's new. It was quite interesting.
We got ours on Friday. IT guy says he'll install as soon as he gets a chance to upgrade everyone at the same time. He wanted to wait until sp1, but a few of the upgrades are really worth not waiting. Oh, I almost forgot - we're in mid-Michigan.
Yes, I've had mine since Monday. Seeing as how I'm not exactly missing any functionality, that is there is nothing offered in 2004 that I 'gotta have', I put the entire package into the bottom of one of my desk drawers. I'll probably load it up sometime in January or as after SP1.0 comes out, whichever comes last.
Seriously, I can't see WHY anyone would install the first release of any software as complex as SW. I've been using SW since 1997, and every new release has it's problems. SW'98 wasn't too bad and SW2001+ was rock solid. Since then each release has been anywhere from so-so (SW2003) to very poor (SW2002). So my advice to you: if you don't absolutely need something that's offered in SW2004, let the CD ROMS serve as ballast in your desk drawer for a while.
