Than you start a shop? It's real easy to hammer them, but they are the ones driving the trade, not us worker ants. I have the utmost respect for anyone with the balls to hire people. It's damn scary as hell.

Why? A good American Toolmaker , at one time, could make damn near as much as shop owners, w/o the headaches.

Indeed. I always tried to find spots where the hired would work out on the premise that everyone can do something productive if given a chance & the RIGHT opportunity. Finding the proper one in any given firm can be hard though with some employees.
We need better ways to sort these things out.
