power supplies and stability

Any truth to the rumor that a high $ power supply can help w/ system crashes?

600w POS or 400w expensive?

Jason

A bad power supply will cause all kinds of hard to pinpoint problems. The power supply you choose must be capable of supplying the cpu and peripherals and must do a good job of regulating and supplying the current spikes modern cpus create. The size need only be enough and then quality is what counts. Going just by the wattage is probably not the best indicator.
