setting all drawings to use IPS (inch pounds seconds)

To create a template:

Click New (Standard toolbar) or File, New.

Double-click the type of template that you want to create: Part, Assembly, or Drawing.

Click Options (Standard toolbar) or Tools, Options.

On the Document Properties tab, select options to customize your new document template, then click OK.

Only options on the Document Properties tab are saved in a document template.

Click File, Save As.

Select a template type for Save as type:

Part Templates (*.prtdot)

Assembly Templates (*.asmdot)

Drawing Templates (*.drwdot)

Type a name for File name.

Browse to a folder, then click Save.
