WUXGA, WSXGA+ or WXGA suggestions

I know that laptops get discussed here to death but I need some specifics on the above mentioned display types, I couldn't find my answers in the archive.

First off, I don't really know the differences between WUXGA, WSXGA+ or WXGA. I think it's the resolution with WUXGA being highest, is that the only differnce?

The main thing I'm concerned with is am I going to take a performance hit with WUXGA as opposed to WSXGA or WXGA? The computer I'm looking at is the Dell M70 with the NVIDIA Quadro FX Go1400 with 256MB onboard. It'll also be running the 2.13 GHz chip with 2gig of RAM.

This should be a pretty skookum machine but if the WUXGA is going to drag the video card down I think I'd rather go with the WXGA.

Comments?

WUXGA = 1920 x 1200 WSXGA+ = 1680 x 1050

You probably won't notice the graphics slowdown of the higher resolution, but you will notice that you can see much more detail in the graphics window of SolidWorks. Also, any screen captures you do are higher quality because of the higher resolution.

I think it would take a lot to drag that video card down...

My Dell 9300 with a 17" WUXGA screen just shipped! I'll let everybody know how it does on the benchmarks, I'm hoping I can get the nVidia

6800 card (256mb) to play nice with SW.
