After a longer than anticipated delay in replacing the obnoxious Windoze XP with Linux Debi an, limited updates have been accomplished during testing with several very useful new tools added in reciprocating power tools, vises, reamers and clamps. With some final configuration and tweaking remaining, updates should be more frequent soon.
After an accidental corruption of the Master Boot Record and thanks to Bill Gates' "new" policy to eliminate the recovery console from OEM installed systems and disks, no viable solution was found. Beware the cheap recovery CD's, one managed to destroy the DOS file records and wipe out Amithlon on an extra SCSI drive, Since re-installation insisted upon formatting the entire drive even the "backup" partition was lost. Murphy's law prevailed. After 28 years experience as as Computer Systems Engineer, I was dumbfounded, if not irate.
With the help of vastly better Linux system, maybe we can get back to playing trains soon.
