In the process of filling out my collection of old Model Railroader magazines, I wound up with a lot of duplicates. It was often necessary to buy ones I already had to get a bunch I was missing. I thought some of the folks here might be interested in them. If this posting is inappropriate, I apologize.
I have the years 1964, 1966, and 1969 complete. These have a lot of older rolling stock plans and a lot of structure construction articles. I'm asking $10 for each year, or $25 for all 3 years.
I also have 9 issues from 1973, and 11 assorted from the years 1967-1974. I'm asking $6 for each of these, or $10 for both.
I'll trade any one of the above 2 for all 3 of the issues of MR I'm missing, September '72, September '95, and October '98. I wish I knew what happened to the last 2, I was a subscriber then :-).
All prices are plus shipping. Let me know (off list - email to snipped-for-privacy@foxinternet.net please) what you want and I'll find out what the shipping is. The post office tells me that magazines don't qualify for media rate since they have advertising - even 40 year old advertising. So I'll ship them parcel post or UPS. That way we don't have to worry about some inspector checking the package and depositing the magazines in the trash :-).
One more note. In the '50s and early '60s there were inserts in MR called "Bluebook" that were designed to be taken out and kept in a binder without interfering with any of the other articles. I haven't seen any, but from some of the letters to the editor there were a lot of diesel paint schemes :-). If you're looking for those, look elsewhere. The original owners of these mags did remove them.
