Any item(s) large enough to require a liquor box, could be shipped more economically by UPS or FedEx ground anyway. USPS retail clerks (and postmasters) realize this and are only too happy to be 'stealing' that business away from their competitors.
Wrap it in brown paper then. Grocery bags work great for that.
