BA nuts and bolts

A company where an acquaintance works is thinking about clearing out its stock of BA nuts and bolts. The stock is not vast, but more than I could absorb.

I'm keen that the stuff should find it's way into the right corners and would welcome your corporate advice and ideas.

For starters, would a number of people be interested in splitting the stock up for shares of the purchase price?

Is there a specialist stockist that would welcome the chance to expand his BA stock, both in brass and steel?

Nice idea Kim. How much stock are we talking about in £'s and lbs. I assume the sizes are usefully spread across the range. Being closely related to hoarding Magpies, you can count me interested. A bit of sorting into bite size lumps and they may sell on ebay at a small profit so that your stock comes free. Talking of ebay, I heard on the news that a bucket of Bristol tap water sold for about £200. What do they put in that stuff?

Dunno yet, awaiting a clearer idea of what's available before deciding. I suspect that they don't know either!

Anyone that wants some Bristol water need only ask. I thought the E-bay price was too high, no more than one fifty and if its cash we can forget the dreaded. (Presses side of nose with forefinger & winks.)

- oh, you'll have to bring yer own bucket .............

Kim,

Aeromodelers used to use a lot of BA nuts and bolts, and I imagine that is still the case with many of them, especially those who belong to the Society of Antique Modelers

I now have quantities and prices. There are 632 Kilos of assorted BA nuts and bolts. Available as mixed lots in 15 kilo (approx) tubs, a price of £750 has been suggested.

I lost interest at this point.

Anyone?

Thanks for your efforts Kim. Perhaps when realism strikes they may come back to you. At £7.50 I'll take a tub. ttfn Roland
