That's about what I thought too, but the E for earth doesn't fit with all the other stuff, seems a bit out of place...

Kind regards,

I have obtained a Siba Synastart manual, and have to copy it now and return to its owner.

The company was based in Camberley, Surrey, and was part of Lucas.

I'll have a read through later on and decypher the connections. The manual is for the belt-driven models, but the regulator etc should be similar.

Kind regards,

Peter

I started off by looking at the Dynastart literature, but it started to dawn on me that the regulator connections are the same as the Lucas RB340 standard dynamo types, so here they are:

E is ground and is the connection back to the battery negative.

D is the main charge cable from the Dynastart terminal which is marked D+, and this wire has an ammeter in it normally.

WL is the same as the adjacent large terminal marked D, and goes to the ignition switch through the ignition warning light.

F goes to the Dynastart field terminal marked DF

B is the connection to the battery for taking the charge current, and can also have an ammeter in it.

The Dynastart regulator and starter control box is a different animal altogether.

Kind regards,

Peter
