Felt oil filter supplier

I need a felt oil filter for my Coventry Climax SM engine. I got some joy here:

who said they had a suitable filter but when I asked then if they had the right filter rather than just a suitable filter they went quiet. and I have not heard back since. The filter is Coventry Climax part number OF1804 and I manged to find one here in town, but it's the last one. It lookes like this:

have just completed an overhaul and after running in I would prefer to shout it another filter.

Can anyone offer any felt oil filter suppliers? or a raw felt supplier and I will re-line the old filter with 1.5mm felt.

WARNING!! Don't be tempted to use carpet felt, it shreds and bungs up your oilways as a friend learned to his cost a few years ago.

Compressed felt is normally used, and it is wired or sewn to prevent breaking up.

Crosland list a 228 felt filter for the :

COVENTRY CLIMAX FWMA, FWMT, FWM6, FPF

but I have no information as to whether they are the same filter element as your engine.

Worth a try as the makers wouldn't have had a special filter IMO.
