Hi from Canada,hope you are managing the floods ok.Can I slow my 1800 rpm



4.25 hp motor down somehow?? Figure this would be the place to ask,glad I found the group,thx

If it's a fixed speed engine, there should be a steel screw, maybe

3/16" dia., with one or two locknuts, sticking almost horizontally out of the top LH corner of the timing case as you look towards the engine. Slackening the locknut and screwing this screw in should reduce the governed speed somewhat. Of course, if there isn't much screw showing, you won't be able to reduce the speed much without tearing things apart.
