Whilst collecting a cast exhaust pot from an advertiser in SEM, amongst other sold and not for sale desirables I noticed a small power engine. Not for sale but also unidentified and the owner is intrigued by it. As it has some distinctive features, I thought it might be easily identified, but having now waded through all pages in the A to Z and SEs for the Enthusiast, I'm at a loss.
Features (from memory) -
Flyball governor looking like the ones on Hartop S-types, mounted on a chunky enclosed gearbox on the sideshaft Cylinder attached to bed by 4 vertical bolts in shear rather than the more usual in tension arrangement Square combustion chamber with spark plug in the end axial with the cylinder Small carburettor on the non-sideshaft side of the cylinder head - at right angles to the cylinder axis Overhead valve rocker of good quality and not looking like a home made part Twin flywheels approx 12" diam with curved spokes
Any ideas?
