Deltic bogies.

Hi all,

Can anyone direct me in the direction of a scale drawing of EE Deltic bogies? (presumably with a Deltic body on top ;-) I've got a good stack of RMs, MRNs etc from the 1950s on, and access to a fair stack of UK subject books, (mostly steam era) but so far I haven't found anything relevant in a week of searching.

Regards, Greg.P. NZ

Hi Greg

According to this search facility:

The issue to look for is:

Railway Modeller, May 1999, page 233.

A search on the Model Rail magazine index at:

will reveal a number of articles and photographs.

Sometimes memory plays tricks, but I seem to recall that class 37 and class 50 bogies are identical (except maybe for step position on the latter), so maybe you could widen your search a bit.

I'm sure someone else will be along soon to tell you if I'm mistaken!

If it's any help the same bogies are used for class 50's and class 37's.

BR's paper, Railnews, did such drawings of all BR diesels in the 1980's and was later sold as book as far as I remember. Should have a 37 and 50 which both have the same bogie.
