General layout questions

G'day all. Just about to build up a new layout, nothing flash just a double oval with some space for shunting. I am using mostly Triang and Hornby stuff.

The only place that I have room for it is under the patio out the back. It is quite dry, but occasionally a good storm will blow a little water in. I was wondering the best way to go for scenery etc that would be heat and water proof to some degree. Here in Melbourne it can get anywhere from 1 or 2 degrees in winter (overnight) to 40 degrees plus in summer. Any ideas?

While on the subject of scenery I want to model something that basically looks like 1950's-60's England. Not easy to find references in Aussie. The town will be called Bedingfield, for obvious reasons (even tho there is no railway in Bedingfield;-) Any sites worth looking at for inspiration? Just a bit of fun really.

Also why is it harder to find a "Mary" Pullman than any of the other Triang examples (Anne, No 79, Ruth and Jane)?

Thanks

Mark

I think you will find that a model of the Bakerloo Line is most appropriate ;-)

Circle Line, surely. That'd give a continuous run and you could always have a separate branch for the Waterloo-City line or even a line out to Ongar among the flower beds.

Has possibilities, don't you think?
