Having wrestled with computers for most of my working life, the last thing I want to do is introduce them into my hobbytime. I'm sure that it is fascinating to have everything work perfectly at the push of a button, but how boring is that? Personally, I love my rats' nest of wires, relays and reed switches and even when things go wrong, the mental stimulation involved in puzzling over the problem is quite refreshing.
OK, I'm far too advanced in my layout to even consider the upheaval and expense of converting my extensive loco stud to DCC, but from what I've read, the project lacks appeal ...for me, at least. Am I alone in my Luddite views, or are there some 'real' modellers still about?
