But I can access my account from several different places and get the same (sort of) unlimited service on all accesses. Try getting that with a cheap broadband setup. All the cheap broadband agreements I've looked at have a one account/one terminal deal, which is just the same restriction as the one phone CLID arrangement being discussed
- but it's a wee bit faster :-).

I do!! I can only connect to newsgroups at home (Broadband). but when I travel, which I have to do a lot, I can only get E Mail, no newsgroups, on hotels High speed hook ups Rob
I can't just up and move my cable connection. I can't even dial in to my ISP, although I can access e-mail through a web interface.
