Does anyone know the best method of filling in the gaps left by the rail joiners. Iv'e tried trimming spare sleepers and pushing them under but they dont look very good, Any ideas? Ian

Yes, other than giving up you mean?!...
Cut the rail fixings away from the first sleeper, so that the fishplate can slide between rail and sleeper. A 10 second job with modelling knife.
