Dynasty 200DX or Syncro 250DX?

The only downside to the Dynasty 200DX is the duty cycle.

If you plan on doing mostly aluminum, then I would vote for the Syncrowave 250DX with a water cooled torch.

Sure you can weld aluminum with an air cooled torch, but not for very long.

The better machine for your application is the Dynasty 300DX, but it costs almost twice what the Dynasty 200DX costs.

You can use a water cooled torch on the Dynasty 200DX. Keep in mind that the Syncrowave 250DX is a 310 amps max machine, while the Dynasty 200DX is a 200 amps max machine.

I have had my Syncrowave 250DX for 9 months now and it is one the finest TIGs I have ever used in 20 years of TIG welding.

Mind you I would trade it in a heartbeat for a Dynsaty 300DX or an Aerowave, but that won't happen for a long time if ever.

So if you need the lower amperage draw, portability and power feed flexibilty of the inverter then go for the Dynasty 200DX.

If you want to do heavy production aluminum welding go for the Syncrowave 250DX with the Pulser and Sequencer options.

Mine was $1900 for the base Syncrowave 250DX, $200 for the pulser, $300 for the Sequencer, and worth every penny.

I use my shop sink and a water filter instead of a water cooler unit, and I built my own cart.

I have 3 main torches I switch between using quick disconnects. CK 230, CK 230M, and a Weldcraft 350 amp.
