follow-up - ropework knife

Following discussion around Oct 2012 on 5160 steel - with my digression in knife for rigging and ropework...

Reckon have found a good knife for this purpose - which has been a long search Done pictures and description of whys and wherefores here

Is "Ibberson Heavy Duty Action Knife" by Egginton Group of Sheffield, UK.

If anyone wondering "on-topic" re welding - when working as welder-fabricator also worked as steel-erector (North America - ironworker), where did a lot of rigging moving steels around - and wanted ideal knife for this work.

Any impressions?

You should check out:

Not a lot of activity there anymore, but I suspect more than a few folks still check it from time to time.
