does anyone know of any technology to weld extremely thin stainless steel sheets using laser welding and get nano sized spot size?

i dont, but you may want to hit up any of the firms doing friction stir welding, they have a good knowledge of welding and what's out there. try some of the aerospace firms like Boeing or Northrop.
