OT Blue Cross

--Well now that the balance in congress has been tipped and everyone's been safely bought off, sure enough Blue Cross has raised my rates: 22% this time; total's now $23,000/yr for me and SWMBO. I need customers or a new line of work! --I'd be curious to know if anyone's got group coverage thru AWS or any other industry group and what your experience has been with them..

Is your pension fund threatened by the last year's economic crash?

Gotta say I feel for you. Since I can not give you any magic bullets, I'll just keep silent. I get mine through union retirement, and it is quite reasonable for medical, dental, Rx, and vision. $291 a month for me and SWMBO.

You can thank the voters of Michigan for taking away the filibuster-proof majority in the senate, thus assuring there will be no health care reform.

No. Teamsters. Probably the last to go, but not infallible.

That's good. All I have read about pensions, suggests that they will be one of the next troublesome problems due to insufficient reserves.

There are so many problems coming, and so many right now that are on the cusp of being reported that we all will be up to our asses in alligators soon. The tsunamis of legislation just passed has yet to reach shore.

I don't have a lot of time left here, so I am laying up stores for another adventure.

Regence jacked up my individual policy 40% last August. Which made a total at that time of 368% since Sept 2002.

I don't understand what those crazy liberals are complaining about. Where's the problem?

Massachusetts has mandatory insurance and fines if you don't comply. The economics of working for cash under the table become more favorable the more child support you have to pay as not only does one get out of the child support or get it reduced the government picks up the medical insurance on the employee and the dependents. The whole idea of not exposing their plan to deal with the folks who didn't get a visa or work permit to come here before running the numbers on a health care overhaul is ??? disingenuous sp? It isn't like auto insurance where you take the license away from the most risky.
