I'll bet this has been asked zillions of times but not by me.
I need to cut some drill stem (very appx. 2.875) in order to weld it to larger pipe of ROUGHLY the same or closely bigger dimensions?
I don't want to do this but 5 times.

You might want to check out this little program - tubemiter.exe located here along with instructions:
click on freeware at the top and scroll down to it:
