TIG rod "Snap-Lock system" : Patent for sale!!

Did you also ever wander how to deal with the expensive loss, caused by stub-ends of TIG welding rods? Did you ever realize that these stub ends cause an environmetal problem too? A patented solution has been proposed to several authorities, and now we are convinced that the European Union will prescribe the sole use of TIG wires with snap-lock system very soon. The proven environmental advantages wich will be realised with the new patented TIG wire snap-lock system are evident: Since January 2004 the Belgian department of environmental issues has been busy with it on several occasions:

  • 22.01.2004 Secr. of public health, Frea van den Bossche. * 22.01.2004 Secr. of environmental affairs, Ludo Sannen. * 19.01.2004 Secr. of environmental affairs, Tavernier. * 03.2004 Member of the Euro parliament Alexander de Roo. (Groenlinks, The Netherlands. * 03.2004 Electrolux Mr. Viktor Sunberg. (Sweden)

On may 28th, 2004 the OVAM (Public Litter Company for flanders Belgium) wrote ao:

Quote:

Your proposal consists of a special method of connecting consumable TIG-rods, enabling welders to join subsequent rods. During welding, the next rod is connected to the present one. In this way, a continues consumable welding rod will appear.

This prevents that the final stub-ends, which cannot be welded any longer, need to get thrown away. Using rods with the new connecting-method enables welders to entirely use every single welding rod without any loss of material.

The following advantages, are recognised:

  • 100% of TIG welding consumables (Aluminium, Copper, Stainless-steel etc.) can be used. No losses.

The production-process of these materials is an high energy-consuming process. The use of these materials should be as efficient as possible. At present, material-loss caused by waste stub-ends of TIG rods averages 15-20% of each rod.

  • The production of the welding-rods will be somewhat more expensive. This will lead to more expensive welding rods. , Customers will be able to earn their 'investment' back, because they are using a more efficient process less prone to welddefects and, moreover, they don't need to deal with waste-disposal procedures.
  • No need of any investment regarding materials, qualifications, knowledge nor time whatsoever. The welding procedures prescribing the new welding rods will be completely identical to the present procedures.

We do hope, that the production of welding-rods with this principle can commence as soon as possible to be able to have above mentioned advantages readily available for the welding industry soon.

Goodness. If you are that worried about it, just tack the stub to the next rod. Maybe you can get a patent for turning the machine on, too.

I bid $9.86 CDN for the patent. Just email me with the details of how I can register the patent in Canada and the US. Say, can I get the patent for Central and South America too? I'd add on a few bucks for that.

Oh, what does the patent look like? Is it a bunch of drawings? That'd be pretty good.

TIA, David Todtman

Why? If it's going to be a money maker and you have already invested time and money into getting a patent.
