Tip # explanation

On Victor tips, there is a xx-x-xx number. What does each of the numbers mean? Just for a standard cutting tip.

They have to do with how fast the tip is designed to cut. The faster tips are for automated cutting machines, like track burners and pattern cutters that are designed to use higher pressure O2 and travel much faster.

The markings can also designate which gas the tip works best with. Propane, Natural Gas, MAPP, and Acetylene all have different tip designs.
